I met Stephanie as a contractor hired to work on a commercial remodel of dozens of 900-1500sq ft units inside of an upscale retirement and nursing home. Her ideas have absolutely brought a modern and proper touch to the building, which was built in the early 1980's. The building has had 3 additions, and the needs in each building are very different from one another because of the way they were built. Stephanie has done a wonderful job noticing what can and cannot be done, and is conscious of cost. She doesn't force the issue on impossibilities like many designers do! We both try to the best of our ability to make certain ideas work but when they won't work because of the structure of the building, she's only a phone call away to discuss it and make a decision as quickly as possible so work can continue to flow. There are no road blocks on projects from this designer! She has the insight and knowledge to understanding every phase of construction. The functionality of each unit is seamless and comfortable for the elderly. Every resident or family of the residents that have seen the units are always extremely pleased to see the class that she has brought to the building. Her ideas have really set the standard of what a retirement home should look like in this day and age. Stephanie is also keen on weekly meetings to see progress and to check over form and function of certain rooms. She has overseen every project from the beginning to end. Throughout many years, Stephanie has worked on a number of projects for me. The first time we met, she was given the task of looking at 2 houses and a floor plan of an apartment my mom was moving into, asked to take items from the houses and use them to create homes for the two of us who were in transitional times in their lives, and keep things practical and affordable. WOW! Who would have ever guessed how wonderful everything would turn out?! My mother’s apartment was a beautiful, calming place that she was proud of.
